Okay, so a brief message but a little clarity. Maybe ))
As of 17th May 2021, it was stated that British tourists could travel to Portugal. However, as of 13th May, it has been suggested that Brits will need to wait until 31st May before being allowed into the country.
And herein lies the twist. The Portuguese island of Madeira (technically an archipelago, which is a group of adjoining islands, in our case under the sea level), is not included in the latest date adjustment.
So, as of the 14th May 2021, you are still able to holiday in Madeira from the 17th onwards.
Confusing? Yes.
